Yala Peak Climbing

The 5500m Yala Peak is one of the most appropriate climbing destinations for those who desire to foot on a Himalayan summit but have a time constriction. The 14-day trip will lead us to explore the beautiful culture and natural beauty of the Langtang region. 

Yala peak escalates right next to the Tibet border with a fantastic glimpse of Mt. Shishapangma, Langtang Lirung, Gang Chempo, and Dorje Lakpa.  Literally, one of the border mountain rims of Yala Peak is joined with Tibet.

A haven of phenomenal untamed natural life like Himalayan mountain bears, red pandas, wild pigs, and snow panthers. It can be seen in the region along with lush vegetation. Yala peak is considered a pinnacle for tenderfoot which introduces Nepali Himalayas to novices. Climbing Yala peak does not require any special technical skill or any previous experience or knowledge about climbing. However, a reasonably good level of physical fitness and outdoor experience is a must.

When to go for Yala Peak Climbing

The perfect months during the Autumn season are September, October, and November; the spring season after March, April, and May for Yala peak ascend. From June till August when Monsoon falls in Nepal, it is highly suggested to climbers to not attempt the trip.

During the winter season (December to Early February), the weather can get very cold and snowfall can make the climb difficult and risky. But it is possible to attempt the climb. However, the climber must be fully aware of and responsible for the risk.

Day 3 Drive to Syabrubenshi (1420m), DRIVE: 8 hours
Day 4 Trek to Lama Hotel (2350m), WALK:6 hours
Day 5 Trek to Langtang valley (3500m), WALK:6 Hours
Day 6 Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3900m), WALK:4 hours
Day 7 Explore around Kyanjin Gompa ascend Tsergo Ri (4983m), WALK:11 hours
Day 8 Trek to Yala Base Camp (4500m), WALK: 5 hours
Day 9 Summit Yala Peak (5500m) and trek back to Base Camp
Day 10 Reserve Day for climbing
Day 11 Trek back to Ghodetabela (3020m), WALK: 7 hrs Trek
Day 12 Trek back to Syabrubenshi(1420m) WALK: 7 hrs Trek
Day 13 Drive to Kathmandu (1400m)

Trip Includes

  • All the arrival and departure transfers in a private AC vehicle.
  • Three nights stay in Kathmandu in a 3-star hotel with breakfast.
