Mera Peak Climbing
- DURATION: 20 DAYS
Mera Peak Climbing, (6,476m) is the highest permitted trekking peak in Nepal, standing proudly in the remote Hinku Valley, east of the Everest region. Despite being less frequented than nearby routes, it attracts over 700 climbers annually for its pristine landscapes, exhilarating ascent, and jaw-dropping Himalayan views.
This adventure isn’t just about reaching the summit — it’s a culturally immersive and visually rewarding journey. You’ll hike through Sherpa settlements, dense forests, high-altitude valleys, and expansive glaciers. Along the way, you’ll encounter remote trails, traditional hospitality, and Nepal’s iconic peaks — Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Kanchenjunga, Ama Dablam, and more.
Mera Peak is a challenging, high-altitude trek that involves walking 6–7 hours daily through steep, icy, and uneven terrain. Although the ascent is non-technical compared to other peaks, basic mountaineering skills are recommended, including:
Our professional guides will assist with training, rope use, and safety protocols throughout the journey.
Along the route, trekkers have the chance to interact with local Sherpa and Rai communities. We also offer the option to enjoy traditional meals, join in local festivals (depending on the season), and visit centuries-old Buddhist monasteries nestled in the hills.
If you dream of standing above 6,000 meters without taking on extremely technical challenges, then Mera Peak is the perfect entry into high-altitude climbing. It offers a stunning balance of adventure, safety, scenery, and cultural exploration in a region that remains blissfully untouched by mass tourism.
Whether you’re a seasoned trekker or an aspiring climber, Mera Peak will push your limits and reward you with unparalleled Himalayan vistas and unforgettable memories.
